I got lots done over Break. I had almost a week off. I started Framing the windows with select pine, then I painted it with Primer and 3 coats of exterior paint, front and back. I used the countersink and the same 1 1/4″ stainless pan head screws I used to attach the ribbing. The most exciting project was the diesel 8kw heater from eBay! I didn;t take many pics of the installation. The pump, tank and heater control are temporarily mounted. I started the main “beam” down the middle of the ceiling. I got it as straight as possible, pre-drilled and countersunk some holes. Then I pulled it down and used the router to cut a channel in each side for the tongue and groove ceiling. I figured out a place to put the 2 old deep cycles that I pulled from the starting battery location. Those will be the temporary house batteries. And the last few pics are the tongue and groove paneling in the basement getting painted. Pro Tip, DO NOT paint them all assembled like that. Paint is like glue, i’m dumb. I only had to beat them apart and destroyed about 8 of the boards entirely and partially ruined several more. Lesson learned.
Seemed like a good idea to paint them assembled
