BAD NEWS!
I got a call from Cummins yesterday. The engine has 9psi of blowby so it needs a rebuild. PLUS it has 1.5 bad injectors AND the starting batteries are deep cycle and not starting batteries. It’s $2500 just to do the injectors. They quote me $7-10k for a reman and $10-15k for a new motor and wiring harness. UGH, PLUS!!! There is no chance they can have it done by the time I need to leave! WHAT DO I DO NOW?!
To add insult to injury, on my way home the alternator died and the bus died right by my work. I was able to jump it and charge the batteries at work enough to get it home.
